Today we celebrated Philip's 17th birthday and Bryan and Jessie's second anniversary. The cabin week is always festive as we celebrate several family birthdays and anniversaries.
The other exciting event today was Kathi's injury from playing whiffle ball. She joined us at the end of game and immediately went up to bat. She hit a grounder and pulled her hamstring as she sprinted to first base. She will be on the injured reserve list for the rest of the week. Check out the picture of Kathi coming off the field of play! While she looks cheery in the photo, Kathi was in a lot of pain.
We also saw a beautiful sunset tonight. Watching the sunset is one of our longest cabin traditions. We all gather to sit at the end of the dock and look at the west end of Platte Lake. The sunsets on Platte Lake are spectacular.
The favorite cabin memory is compliments of yours truly tonight.
