"I don't sleep during the day"

Lately Popi is having more problems sleeping at night. He gets up numerous times and is very restless. During the day while he is home alone, we know that he naps a lot. Of course he denies it. So when Brenda is out with Popi, she loves to take pictures of him napping. Here is proof from the doctors office this week.

This summer both David and Jimmy got married. David's wedding to Adriana was in Columbia in June and Jimmy and Karin were married this weekend. Welcome to the family Karin and Adriana. Our family is luckily to have both of you (Jimmy and David) are really lucky).

It is a good thing Matilda likes strangers

In the past two weeks, Matilda has met her extended family at the Mulder Platte Lake gathering and at Jimmy and Karin's wedding. She loves to be held by anyone and my guess is that she met over 25 new relatives. Luckily she is a social girl!

The Cabins at Platte Lake - 2012

2012 marked the 17th time in the last nineteen years that the Mulders have gathered for a vacation on the shores of beautiful Platte Lake.  Of special note this year is that it was the first Platte Lake vacation for Matilda and the first time in five years that Keith and Lisa could join us.  The week started out windy, but warm.  We watched Matilda on Monday night while Bryan and Jessie celebrated their five year wedding anniversary in Traverse City.  Later it the week, it cooled off to the upper 60's to low 70's.  So while it wasn't perfect swimming or beach weather, we kept plenty busy.  We played several games of wiffel ball and also did two of our favorite hikes.  We also took an afternoon to go wine tasting.  Of course, we again held the Mulder Olympics and the 2012 winners were the team of Craig, Emily and Mamie.  Here are some photo highlights from the week.
