Congratulations Phi on being named a 2011 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Phil scored in the top 1% of the 1.5 million juniors who took the PSAT exam last year. He is one of 21 southwest Michigan students honored and one of two students selected from Portage Northern High School (out of a senior class of 280 students). He was in the paper this weekend and will be recognized in several other ways the next couple months. This also puts him in running for college scholarship money (always a good thing).
