As I was bringing Mom/Grandma home from the hospital last week, we decided to take a detour and drive down Bailey Drive. When I was at my high school reunion a few weeks ago, a couple of classmates told me that our old home on Bailey Drive looked a lot different. I wanted to see it myself since I had not been on Bailey for at least six years.
As we turned on Bailey, I first noticed this incredible bike path they are installing along the road. It runs from Vergennes to McCabe and is beautiful. Take a look at the photo. What a nice addition to a beautiful road. As we came up to 9494 Bailey Drive, I hardly recognized the house. As you will see in the photos, it is now a dark blue with a large storage unit on the west side of the house. Plus some of old trees are gone and the yard just seemed smaller than I remember. Maybe when we gather for Christmas in Lowell, we can all take a drive back to the old neighborhood. In fact, we could walk the new path.
