Laurel has only lived in Grand Rapids for five days, and she has already made the newspaper. As part of her medical school orientation week, the students volunteered on Wednesday afternoon at local nursing homes and non-profits. The Grand Rapids Press showed up and snapped this great photo of Laurel and a resident of the nursing home. I lived for 18 years in the Grand Rapids area and only had my photo in the Press once. Laurel is on a roll!!
