Guatemala - Day 4

Today started with a simple breakfast since many of us were still trying to calm our stomachs. We had bread, jam and oatmeal. For some reason, no one wanted to drink pineapple juice. The morning was beautiful and we spent a couple hours by the pool at the house.

For lunch we rented a boat in the town and took a 15 minute boat ride to a local hotel and bar. The lake was very choppy and since the boat was smaller, the ride was an experience in itself. The hotel had a beautiful infinity pool and beautiful landscaped areas. We all enjoyed wonderful fish tacos (Margie passed) and an awesome basil mojito. We are getting the recipe for the mojitos - they were incredible. Unfortunately, the sky turned cloudy and the girls spent part of the afternoon under towels since the wind was strong off the lake.

We are now back at the house and the cook is busy fixing dinner. Tonight the girls are going to participate in some of their "Guatemala Olympic" events. Tomorrow is the big market day!
