This is why Sitting Bull invented Snow Shoes

On Sunday, Brenda and I went snow shoeing and walked through the deep snow with little difficulty.  At the most, we would sink down three or four inches.  Later in the afternoon, we took Matilda out sledding and tried walking through the snow in regular boots.  It was nearly impossible.  I was consistently sinking down 12 - 30 inches.  It made me realize why Sitting Bull must have invented the snow shoe.  The early native americans could not have traveled in the winter without them.

Fact Check:  The editor recognizes that Sitting Bull may not have invented the snow shoe.  We are pretty sure it was a native american and I can't spell the names of Pokahonas and Geranimo (the only other two native americans I can name).  Cliff Notes is produced with a small budget and we do not have the staff necessary to conduct research for every post.
