When going to Italy - Fly the European Airlines

Our flight to Italy was on Lufthansa - the German airline.  We have always had great service from the the European airlines (e.g. Air France, British Air...)  The service is professional and the best part - free drinks.  On a nine hour flight, you really appreciate a good glass of wine.  Lufthansa, however, was over the top.  They offered to refile the wine at least four times and following dinner, they brought out the brandy and the Bailey's Irish Creme.  By the time we landed, most of the passengers didn't care if their luggage arrived or not...
