Brenda kicks soup butt

At work today, we had a soup contest to benefit the Relay for Life (a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society). Everyone could enter a homemade soup. For lunch, we all ate the soup and donated money to Relay for Life. In addition, the soups were judged and two awards were given. Dave, the local owner of the Soup Kettle (a popular downtown restaurant) picked his favorite and then we had a people's choice award. Well Mom won both awards! Her soup was the Curried Chicken and Butternut Squash Soup with Walnuts. It was incredible. Mom won four movie passes to The Rave and her soup will be also featured at the Soup Kettle. Now the whole world will know what we already know - that Brenda is a great cook.
