Why would you ever go to Napa

A couple of years ago, we visited our first wineries in the Colio (the wine region of Capria that produces some of the finest wines in the world and have over 500 producers).  Our experience at the wineries was unbelievable and we scheduled more visits for this trip.  On Wednesday we visited Castelvecchio - about 10 miles northeast of Capriva.  The tour was informative, we tasted over 12 wines and the views from the castle were amazing.  The castle was used by the last King of Austria and they had many historical photographs.

The tour and the tastings lasted over two hours and we were the only guests there. Better yet the tasting was free and the wine we purchased was $8 - $12 a bottle.  Compare this to Napa: crowded tasting rooms, $10 - $20 tasting fees (for three to five 3oz pours), and wine that costs $20 - $100 per bottle.

But we need to keep this a secret- otherwise Colio will be overrun with Tourists!!!
