When Phil left for college 1 1/2 years ago, many people wondered what Brenda and I would do as empty nesters. How would we spend our new found freedom? Well I think the attached photos pretty much answer the question. Brenda has made the front page of the Kalamazoo Gazette once again. So instead of being spending time raising four successful children, we now just drink beer.
Larry Bell was at Kalamazoo College in the early 1980's and instead of graduating, he started brewing beer. We have known Larry for years and Bryan was a good friend of his daughter Laura. So we have always supported Bells and it has been fun to watch it's growth into the 9th largest brewery in the U.S. Oberon is it's classic summer beer so we go to Bell's each spring on Oberon day. Brenda gets the first pour of the spring and the rest is history. When you are thinking about what to say at our eulogies someday, don't forget this story!!
