For the weekend of May 21st and 22nd, we had the opportunity to go up to Mackinaw Island with the Forensics Team. This traditional, end of the year gathering gives the students a chance to compete in a different event in a fun, less competitive atmosphere. Phil choose a duo broadcasting event with Hannah.We get a great deal at the Grand Hotel so Brenda and I went along as chaperones. We packed all our cold weather clothing, but we were pleasantly surprised with temperatures in the mid 60's. We played bocce ball on the lawn of the hotel and had a beautiful bike ride around the island. As a kid, the Mulder family made several trips to Mackinaw and this visit brought back many great memories.

We took our kids there when they were young. Great fun biking around the perimeter of the Island and going to the Fort, etc.!!
