Phil is attending Kalamazoo College as a member of the Class of 2015. Phil is receiving the Heyl Scholarship which provides full tuition, all fees, a book allowance, free room and foreign study. It is valued at $40,000 per year and is for all four years. The scholarship has been around for over 45 years but was only made available to graduates of the Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center last year (previously you had to attend Kalamazoo Public Schools).
Needless to say, we are all thrilled. K College will be a great fit for Phil and he is looking forward to their extensive foreign study program. I will let Phil tell you more when you see him for his open house.

Way to go Phil!! I think you should get the best Christmas and Birthday presents of anyone since you are saving all that money for mom and dad!
