Goodbye Hyde Park - Hello Lakeview

The views from their Hyde Park Apartment

We went to Chicago on Sunday to help Bryan and Jessie move. They are heading up to the Lakeview neighborhood just north of downtown Chicago. They are anxious to try a different part of Chicago and it is a quick commute to Bryan's work. The new place is wonderful. I will be sure to post some pictures of the new apartment the next time we visit (and they have a chance to set it up).

It is sad, however, to leave Hyde Park. Bryan first moved to Regent's Place in August of 2006 as he started Law School at the University of Chicago. It has been a great place to live and Hyde Park is a fun and interesting neighborhood. Brenda and I love to visit to do the Lake Shore path and check out the cool restaurants. Plus Jessie's school is only five minutes from the apartment.
Of course my #1 memory of Regent's Place is working out at their gym with U.S. Senator, Barack Obama on Father's Day 2008. He lived only three blocks from the apartment and came often to exercise. It certainly is the closest I have been to a future President. The entire Hyde Park area was exciting during the 2008 election.

We can't wait to explore the Lakeview neighborhood and see more of Chicago!

Can't wait to see the new place! We spent many hours playing video games and board games in Bryan's old apartment, and there are many more hours to play in the new one.
