Look at what you missed

Linda is in town to go to Andrea's baby shower so tonight we had a big Hudson gathering at our house. Brenda and Linda made jambalaya for dinner and we listened to the Hank Williams song "Jambalaya". Jimmy printed out the lyrics and we all sang along. We even did Johnny Horton's "Battle of New Orleans" and Roy Acuff's "Wabash Cannon Ball".

So here is what you missed:

Of course it wouldn't have sounded right if hadn't been sung in a southern accent!

And just how much Oberon was consumed anyway?

A couple of my friends came over that same night, and as soon as we entered the kitchen, the family erupted into another chorus. Much to the surprise of the whole family, Hannah knew the lyrics to many Hudson favorites, such as the famed "Battle of New Orleans" ("And they ran through the brambles, and they ran through the bushes, ect, ect")
