Exactly one year ago this weekend, Popi moved in with us. I am often asked, "how is it going with Popi at your home"? My answer always is good, better than I expected. Popi enjoys being here and gets more interaction than he would in own home. In particular, when family comes to visit us, Popi gets to spend a lot of time with everyone. He especially likes to have Matilda hang out in his living room. Of course he also gets enjoy nearly daily FaceTime calls with Matilda.
Our house is also the perfect layout for a father-in-law area. We feel like we have our privacy and Popi and the caregivers have their space too. Popi doesn't always want to come up the stairs to our area, but he makes the trip at least once a week.
Life "up on the hill" has been pretty good!
