On Thanksgiving Weekend, Brenda, Mimi, Laurel and Linda hosted a baby shower for Bryan and Jessie. Twenty eight friends and family members came and of course the party continued into the night. We prepared all the food except for the desserts (since Laurel is in Medical School, she had to hang up her chef's hat). Brenda and I practiced on about seven quiches' before finding the perfect recipe. The baby gifts are were wonderful and we all feel very ready for Chewie to come!

I just read this. Knowing what we know now - we were all so unprepared for Matilda!! She didn't have a crib - just like baby Jesus...
