A couple weeks ago, I told my assistant Lisa that I had to book a hotel room in Chicago for when Brenda and I went to get Keith. Lisa immediately suggested that I use Priceline.com. I was very reluctant to use a company that pays a washed up Star Trek actor to promote its services (I have since learned that William Shatner owns $586,000,000 worth of Priceline stock - not bad for a washed up actor). Well, I was able to get the Hilton on Grant Park for $90 a night. Two weeks later when we went back, I was able to get the same price. I have never paid less than $200 for a hotel in Chicago. The Hilton is four stars and in a perfect location.
For Brenda and Phil's trip to Washington University in St. Louis, we tried it again. We booked a hotel right by the school for $70. The same hotel was on the University's recommended list with a special visitor's rate of $115.
The only drawback of Priceline is that you commit to a location and you choose a star rating. But from there you do not know what exact hotel you will receive. A small inconvenience for a great rate. I would recommend you give it a try.

And the 70$ hotel was actually very cool too! From the kid's perspective, I too approve of priceline.
